Kathryn L. Moran, CPA

Katie Moran is the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Compliance Officer, and minority owner at Steele.  She is responsible for overseeing the firm’s operational strategies and safeguarding its financial health.  In her compliance role, she leads the development and execution of the firm’s compliance policies and best practices to ensure adherence to regulatory standards. Katie also works with the financial advisor team in delivering services to clients. 

Katie is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), member of the Iowa Society of CPAs, and a Series 65 licensed investment advisor.  She holds a degree in Accounting from the Tippie College of Business at The University of Iowa.  Before joining Steele in 2002, she gained experience in public accounting at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Deloitte and Touche.

Outside of work, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband and their two daughters, who keep the family active with their many activities. As a family, they enjoy golfing and relaxing by the pool.
