Chief Investment Officer
Brett Wessels, Chief Investment Officer, and minority owner, leads the firm’s investment committee which is responsible for establishing the firm’s investment philosophy, strategic investment planning initiatives, and portfolio construction. Brett also plays an integral role in developing and maintaining the firm’s operational efficiencies through multiple applications. Brett holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society of Iowa.
Prior to joining Steele, Brett served as an investment analyst with FBL Financial Group, Inc., focusing on fixed-income investment portfolios for insurance companies and mutual funds. He is a graduate of the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business with an undergraduate degree in finance.
In his personal life, Brett and his wife have 4 children that keep them very busy with all of their activities.
